Fix for MacBook random shutdown disease

You can now restore the full attention of your beloved laptop, as Apple released a patch to fix the problem.

Commonly referred to as the "Random Shutdown Syndrome," the problem was officially acknowledged by Apple in early September. Being quite an annoying "bonus" to the MacBook, the problem had attracted much publicity, and even had its own web site.

Well, easy now — Apple claims the recently released MacBook SMC Firmware Update 1.1 will solve the issue:

The MacBook SMC Firmware Update v1.1 improves the MacBook's internal monitoring system and addresses issues with unexpected shutdowns. This update is recommended for all MacBook systems, including those that received warranty repair.
